Windhoek – The MTC and Standard Bank Namibia in partnership with My Zone, Namibia Media Holdings and Air Namibia are set to officially launch the first Teen Inspirational Summit beginning of March in Windhoek, Namibia.
Each year, MTC does something with a community impact and this year the company is targeting the youth through the Teen Inspirational Summit.
The event, which has been scheduled for March 9, 2019, at a Windhoek hotel will see high profile young talents from the United States, South Africa, Nigeria and Namibia on stage.
Themed “Connecting with Tomorrow’s Leaders”, the event will be graced by King Nahh – an inspirational speaker (US), DJ Arch Junior (South Africa), Aunty Success – a comedian (Nigeria), Kimberly Malope -a motivational speaker (South Africa), Rebekka Nghilaluwa (17)- Junior Mayor of Ongwediva (Namibia) and Christian Prinsloo (16) also of Namibia – a debating champion on stage.
King Nahh, real name Nyeeam Hudson, is a 12-year-old boy who spreads positive messages of self-love and confidence to other kids and parents through his speeches. The 12-year-old talent is well known for his clips such as ‘Don’t be afraid to grow’, ‘Worrying is a total waste of time’ and ‘We are all kings’. He is one of “12 kids who rocked the world in 2016” according to the Huffington Post and Forbes. King Nahh has been interviewed on countless media platforms, including Good Morning America (ABC-NY). The young man has written his first book ‘We Are All Kings – A Motivational Guide for Parents’. In the book, he shares his journey to encourage young boys to believe in themselves as kings of greatness
Born as Oratilwe Hlongwane (6), DJ Arch Junior started his career at three years old when he made appearances on local radio and performed gigs alongside big names. At that age, the Guinness World Records officially recognized him as the world’s youngest club DJ. Barely out of the nappies, the three-year-old had thousands of dedicated fans. Even now when he is six years old, the boy has amassed more fans across the region and globally. He won SA’s Got Talent’s 2015 with over 46 million views and he flew the flag incredibly high when he made his debut on America’s Got Talent (Champions) stage.
Aunty Success (5) is a female Nigerian rising kid actor and comedian who has been featured in many Mark Angel Comedy videos. The young girl has done several comic compilations that have gone viral on social media platforms. Among the several skits on social media is her most popular dubbed ‘Christmas clothes’. ‘Permission’, ‘Slim People’ and ‘A Deal’.
Malope (16) is South Africa’s youngest motivational speaker. She started motivational speaking at the age of nine years. She has travelled to New York and Washington and delivered speeches to students and members of parliament. With her motivational speaking, she has also met Graça Machel and Bill Clinton, to name just a few VIPs. Through her outreach programmes she decided to start KIMMOTIVE where she can do much more for the youth of South Africa.
As Junior Mayor of her town, Nghilaluwa works with young people and enjoys motivating and giving hope to the less fortunate youth. She is a proponent of gender equality, youth empowerment and leadership.
Prinsloo, a debating champion, has represented Namibia in debating competitions that have taken him to the Czech Republic, South Africa and to Botswana, where he was the third best speaker overall.
